Measure Twice, Cut Once Is a Marketing Ops Strategy
In ops, the cutting is automated. The case for the boring, linear, documented way of working — and why it's faster.
For ten years I’ve run the machinery behind marketing — CRM, marketing automation, customer data platforms — for scale-ups and global companies. I’ve migrated platforms people were afraid to touch, built data infrastructure from empty workspaces, and inherited more haunted instances than I can responsibly count.
Here’s what all of it taught me: the tools are the smallest part of the job. Marketing stacks fail in the seams between systems, and in the decisions nobody wrote down. So that’s where I work — in the seams, writing everything down, measuring twice before anything gets cut. It’s not glamorous. It works.
